Lubricants
are one of the worlds largest manufacturers of lubricants with
86 manufacturing and marketing companies worldwide and global sales of
£700m per annum.
They are currently world leaders
in both synthetic and biodegradable lubricant technology.
This
specialization has led to Fuchs
being awarded first fill supply positions with such prestigious companies
as Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volkswagen and to a Fuchs lubricant or fluid
being used in around 90% of the world's Formula 1 and Indy racing cars.
In
the UK, Fuchs'
state of the art manufacturing facility at Hanley, Stoke on Trent,
produces around 17 % of the UK's total lubricant requirements to the
highest possible standards.
Current quality accreditations
include ISO 9001, AQAP 1, Civil Aviation Authority, British Pharmacopoeia,
and the highest quality standard demanded by out industry, QS9000.
The
Fuchs
facility at Hanley include a NAMAS approved laboratory suite (one of only
five in the UK) which houses not just the Research & Development
department and Quality Control but also the CENT conditioning monitoring
laboratory, where hundreds of samples are analysed every week for
companies throughout the UK.
